AI DARTS: watch the game, throw darts, open 24 hours
We'll start with ours. AI DARTS is at No. 1, Aly. 15, Ln. 345, Sec. 4, Ren'ai Rd, Da'an, between Zhongxiao Dunhua and Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall MRT. There are TVs on the wall and the seating is built for groups taking turns on the Phoenix electronic dartboards, so you can throw a few legs at half-time. We're open 24 hours, which helps when the match kicks off at 3 am Taiwan time; no cover charge, bring your own drinks, and the Hotdogray counter does hot dogs Tuesday to Friday from 8 pm to around midnight, plus every other Saturday. We don't have a fixed broadcast deal, so message us on LINE to check we can put your game on. More in watching sport at a darts bar.
The Brass Monkey: the classic expat sports bar
Open since 2003 and run by a former rugby player, at No. 166, Fuxing N. Rd, Zhongshan, about 6 minutes' walk from Nanjing Fuxing MRT. Their site lists the Premier League, rugby, NFL, F1, UFC, tennis and baseball. Opens 17:00 daily, until 2 am Thursday to Saturday. Big games fill up, so message them on their official LINE first.
On Tap: where to watch the Premier League in the East District
A British-run pub at No. 21, Aly. 11, Ln. 216, Sec. 4, Zhongxiao E. Rd, Da'an, about 5 minutes from Zhongxiao Dunhua MRT. Screens all around, showing the Premier League, F1, rugby, UFC and cricket, with British pub food. Open until 2:30 am on Friday and Saturday; call 02-2741-5365 to book on match days. It's not far from AI DARTS, so you can head over for darts after the final whistle.
SPORTS NATION: the big screen by Taipei Dome
At No. 515, Sec. 4, Zhongxiao E. Rd, Xinyi (1F, Far Eastern Garden City), about 6 minutes from Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall MRT, and packed when there's a game at Taipei Dome. An 8.3-metre wraparound screen, bookable private rooms, and self-pour drinks with prices that move in real time. More restaurant than pub, good for a group dinner; book on inline.
HOOTERS: wings and a game
Two Taipei branches: Xinyi at 14F, No. 58, Songren Rd (Far Eastern A13), with a terrace facing Taipei 101, and Qingcheng at No. 18, Qingcheng St, right by Nanjing Fuxing MRT. Big screens showing sport every day, spicy wings, a mixed crowd of groups and families.
Hello Taipei Sport Space: games, darts and pool
At B1, No. 101, Sec. 2, Xinyi Rd, Zhongzheng, a minute from Dongmen MRT. Two 120-inch projectors for baseball and football, a long row of darts machines and six pool tables, open until 4 am on Friday and Saturday. Good if you want to play something while you watch.
The Three Lions Inn: a beer garden for weekend football
Next to Expo Park at No. 1, Yumen St, Zhongshan, about 9 minutes from Yuanshan MRT. British-owned, with a big covered outdoor area, a large screen by the entrance for weekend Premier League, and fish and chips and pies. Closed Monday and Tuesday.
Not ready to go home after the game
Most sports bars close around 1 or 2 am. AI DARTS boards run all night, so come over and keep playing. For other darts bars, see Taipei darts bars worth visiting, and food is on the menu.
