First time at a darts bar: from walking in to your first throw

Feeling nervous your first time at a darts bar is completely normal, not knowing if you need a reservation, whether you'll get laughed at for not knowing how to play, or who to check in with. This lays out the full timeline for visiting AI DARTS, from walking in to your first throw, in order, so you can just go.

Before you go: no need to already know how to play, no reservation needed

AI DARTS is open 24 hours, every day, so you don't need to match anyone's schedule, just show up whenever, no reservation required. Not knowing how to play darts is totally fine too, the machine walks you through it, and if you're really stuck you can just ask staff. The address is No. 1, Aly. 15, Ln. 345, Sec. 4, Ren'ai Rd., Da'an Dist., Taipei, if you're unsure how to get there, message us on LINE first.

Walking in: find an open machine, coins get you started

The bar is lined with Phoenix electronic dartboards, walk up to any open one, use the coin machine next to it to buy tokens, power it on, and pick a game, all self-service, no need to wait to be seated. Beginners should start with Count-Up mode, whoever adds up the highest score over a set number of rounds wins, it's the easiest to pick up.

Your first throw: missing badly is completely normal

Standing at the line the first time, shaky hands and missed throws are completely normal, the board's seen it all. If you're not sure about stance or grip, check the on-screen tutorial, or just ask staff on site, they can spot what to adjust at a glance.

Mid-visit: eat, drink, take turns with friends

Get hungry halfway through, there's Hotdogray hot dogs on site. You can also bring your own drinks, whatever you want, and there's no minimum spend, so nobody's going to nag you for only ordering one drink. If you're in a group, take turns on the machine, whoever's waiting can chat or eat in the meantime.

Leaving: go whenever you want, no time pressure

There's no closing time chasing you out, stay as long as you like, leave whenever you're tired, hungry, or want to move on somewhere else, no need to force yourself to stay until some specific hour to feel like it was "worth it." That's what 24 hours actually means: you decide the time.

Still have questions, message us on LINE directly. Curious how the self-service machines actually work, see Taiwan's first self-service darts bar. Menu's here.
