Hungry after darts and wondering where to get late-night food in Taipei's East District? Food after darts: first check if the kitchen is open tonight
This is the one thing to know: the dartboards are self-service 24 hours, but the Hotdogray kitchen runs on a schedule. Right now that's Wednesday to Friday, from 8 pm until around midnight, plus every other Saturday, and sometimes later. Rain or other circumstances can cancel a night, so the final word is on-site or on LINE. The BARTENDER section on our homepage shows this month's calendar, with kitchen nights circled in red.
Mid-game snacks that keep a hand free
If you're still playing, order things you don't need two hands for, so you can step up when it's your turn:
- Walking Taco from NT$55: toppings in a bag of corn chips, one hand, no mess. More in this post.
- Panini from NT$40: small, including sweet ones like peanut or peanut cocoa. Enough to take the edge off.
- Fries or tater tots, NT$50: one plate in the middle, everyone grabs while they wait.
Done for the night: a hot dog plus a combo
When the last game is over and you want a proper meal, get a hot dog: Original NT$50, Chili Dog NT$70, or the signature Seared Cheese Chili NT$100. Nights when the kitchen is closed
Mondays, Sundays and the off Saturdays, the boards still run 24 hours, there's just no hot dog counter. On those nights, eat nearby first and come in after. Our East District guide covers the area around Zhongxiao Dunhua. You can bring your own drinks, and there's no minimum spend, so nobody minds if you don't order food.
