Jet-lagged, or just hungry at 2 am? Here's where to find 24-hour food in Taipei, every place checked in October 2026 as genuinely open all night or until dawn. We start with the East District and Da'an, where we are, then the old-school spots in Ximen, Zhongshan and Yonghe. A lot of older lists include places that have since cut their hours; those aren't here.

24-hour food in the East District and Da'an

Citystar Dim Sum: 2F, No. 216, Sec. 1, Dunhua S. Rd, above Shun Cheng Bakery. One of the few places in the East District doing dim sum all night, around NT$400 to 600 a person. The second branch by Zhongxiao Dunhua Exit 4 closed in March 2025; this is the one that's left.

Lao Jiang Jia: No. 110, Yanji St, near Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall MRT. A café-style take on a Taiwanese breakfast shop: rice rolls, egg crepes, turnip cake. NT$100 to 200 gets you full.

Lao Dian Tou Tainan Noodles: No. 65, Tonghua St, inside Linjiang Night Market. Forty-plus years old, a regular stop for taxi drivers at night. Dry yi noodles, thick soup and braised sides, cheap.

Rui'an Soy Milk: No. 69, Rui'an St, near Technology Building MRT. Breakfast, lunch and late-night food in one; regulars get the bean-sprout egg crepe and savoury soy milk.

Late-night food near Taipei 101 (open until dawn)

Xiao Pin Ya Chu, City Hall branch: No. 37, Sec. 5, Zhongxiao E. Rd, a minute from Taipei City Hall MRT, opened May 2026. Taiwanese rice porridge with small dishes, 18:00 to 5 am every day. A good stop after a night out around Taipei 101.

Xiao Li Zi Porridge (小李子清粥小菜): moved after redevelopment to No. 326, Sec. 2, Fuxing S. Rd, near Technology Building MRT. 17:00 to 6 am, no Monday night service. The new hours only show on Google so far, so double-check.

Late-night food near Ximen and Taipei Main Station

Ximen Noodle House: Neijiang St, Wanhua, 60-plus years old, known for braised pork knuckle and pork rice with egg. 24 hours Tuesday to Saturday, closed from 5 am Sunday to 5 am Monday.

Xiao Wu Beef Noodles: No. 45-11, Luoyang St, near Beimen MRT and an easy taxi from Main Station. A bowl from about NT$100, free soup top-ups.

Fude Cold Noodles: No. 76, Xing'an St, Zhongshan, near Nanjing Fuxing MRT. Cold sesame noodles with a three-in-one soup (miso, egg drop, pork ball). Fast and cheap.

World Soy Milk King: No. 284, Sec. 2, Yonghe Rd, Yonghe, New Taipei, founded in 1955 and often called Taiwan's first 24-hour soy milk shop. The classic: savoury soy milk with clay-oven flatbread and fried dough.
