First time at AI DARTS? Here's everything you might want to know beforehand: how to find us, how the boards work, what a game costs, when the hot dogs are on, and the house rules. Read this and just go.
How to find it
The address is No.1, Aly. 15, Ln. 345, Sec. 4, Ren'ai Rd, Da'an District, Taipei 106. It's in the area around Zhongxiao E. Rd and Ren'ai Rd that locals call the "East District" (東區), a short walk from the Bannan Line between Zhongxiao Dunhua and Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall stations. The lane is quieter than the main roads, and it's about a 7-minute walk from Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall Station Exit 2 or Zhongxiao Dunhua Station Exit 3. Street parking is scarce, so the MRT is easiest; parking garages are listed in AI DARTS hours, directions and parking.
AI DARTS hours and house rules
- Open 24 hours, every day of the year: when everywhere else has closed, this place is still open.
- No cover charge, weekdays and weekends alike. No surprise "Friday night" surcharge.
- NT$10 to 30 per game on the boards, depending on the game and legs; the machine shows the exact price. The maths is in how much darts costs.
- You can bring your own drinks: bring whatever you feel like (during counter hours, more than 3 bottles of alcohol per person is a NT$50 per-person cleaning fee).
- English-speaking travellers and residents are welcome; the staff will help you get set up.
How to play the boards
It's a full set of Phoenix electronic (soft-tip) dartboards. Never played? Just ask the staff. The common games:
- Count-Up: highest total score over a fixed number of rounds. Best for getting started.
- 01 games (301 / 501): the classic format; your PPD (points per dart) is the number to watch.
- Cricket: more strategic; your MPR (marks per round) is the number that matters.
If you're an AI DARTS member, your scores go straight onto the leaderboards and your points can be traded for shop credit or board time.
What to eat: Hotdogray hot dog hours
Hotdogray hot dogs are the signature: custom toppings, plus fried snacks and drinks. A proper meal mid-session. They're served Wednesday to Friday from 20:00 until around midnight, plus every other Saturday; the boards stay open 24 hours the rest of the time, there's just no food. See the full menu here.
